Welcome! This site is about me as a songwriter and as a professional writer/editor. I’ll start with music since composing songs, both music and lyrics, and playing piano is at the top of the list of things I’m most passionate about. (Note: website under construction; not all pages up yet.)

I also have a Master’s degree in English/Technical Writing with a background in editing and professional writing. I just finished the typesetting and editing for a book by Gail Manishor, From Here to Serenity. It was a great pleasure to assist Gail in getting out this wonderful self-help narrative and guide to finding true happiness.

Another book that I really enjoyed editing is Soul Success: How to Create Joy & Prosperity in Good Times Or Bad by Dr. Lisa Love. Lisa has become a good friend through working together on several projects and I enthusiastically recommend her book, especially now when times are economically challenging for almost all of us.

When I was operating my own company, Media Synergy Solutions, Inc., I co-wrote manuals, designed web sites, and even created an instructional game for Jr. High science students, The Internet Island Adventure Game, which won First Place in a contest sponsored by Sea World Education Division in Orlando, Florida. I served as executive editor and co-author of the Instructor’s Manual for Community-Based Corrections published by Wadsword Publishing, 1997.

I was fortunate enough to win an STC Award of Achievement for this full color computer book (Getting Started, User’s Guide, and Reference Guide) — this is an example of my graphic and conceptual design skills. Click the image to see more of this project.

Sun Medical Supply, Project Manager. Project involved the conceptual design and all graphics, including copywriting, for a print catalog for over 2000 medical supply products.

This Master’s Degree project combines a literature review with an annotated bibliography on the rhetoric of science. It was a very stimulating time for me as I immersed myself in writing about and researching a new paradigm for understanding technical writing and scientific discourse.
